The Salomon Shift Pro 130 AT men’s ski boots are a prime example of where the market is headed these days. Like skis, most companies have their model that’s marketed as the one-ski quiver, and while we’re not exactly sure this even actually exists, it’s a nice idea and a lofty goal. Following in the footsteps of the Shift binding that Salomon released, the boots have all the necessary technology to fit in perfectly and sync up with what a lot of skiers are looking for out there on the hill. The binding is marketed as a one-binding quiver, and the boot is not far behind. Built with a 100 mm forefoot last, a 130-flex rating, and tech fittings for the pin tech bindings, the Shift Pro 130 has it all. The walk mode combined with the GripWalk soles make travelling uphill and cross-hill easy and fun, and the stiffness of the plastic and the four-buckle design are all about downhill performance. We expect great things out of these boots for this year, and Salomon’s ingenuity and forethought has a lot to do with it.
